VEECO announces Asia development plan

China in the seventh session of the International Semiconductor Lighting Forum, VEECO President John R. PeELer announced a large-scale expansion of the Asian market, in order to better support the rapid development of LED industry and meet the needs of customers.

China Shanghai - Shanghai Training Center (STC): customer support and training (2011 first quarter of Taiwan Hsinchu start) - Taiwan Science Center (TTC): high-end application center and Demonstration Laboratory (plan the first quarter of 2011 started in South Korea, South Korea) Development Center (KDC): the center of world-class engineering and technology development. Including equipment demonstration and training for customers (plans to start the second half of 2011) Singapore: expand the production center and supply chain center of Japan: from the sales agent for direct transformation and maintenance (plan effective January 2011)

Mr. Peeler also mentioned "Asian customers using LED in consumer electronics and solid state lighting on pace to accelerate, we believe that this is higher than the $25 million strategic investment will make Asia's first Veeco bit column equipment suppliers, to ensure Veeco and customer win-win. In time, we will also use these new projects to provide customer support to solar and other clean technology markets
