7 former Hynix employees were accused of stealing chips to manufacture IP property

7 Hynix Semiconductor, a former employee was accused of stealing $600 million chip manufacturing IP intellectual property, and plans to set up a company called LMNT flash in China factory.

As accused of theft of chip manufacturing technology, including 5 alleged industrial espionage has been indicted and detained 2 others have been charged, reported news from the central Seoul Inspection Office (Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office) high tech crime investigation department.

Kim in May 2003 from Hynix semiconductor's retirement, and then in March 2004 in the Cayman Islands established LMNT company. Kim was charged with requiring 6 colleagues who were still working at Hynix to steal the chip manufacturing process design documentation and process technical information.
