Agilent's new minimum size encoder module is only 16mm thick

Agilent Technologies (Agilent Technologies) company recently released a new version of the ultra-thin module AEAS-7500 absolute encoder, the encoder module thickness is only 16mm, than the previous generation AEAS-7000 encoder 2.85mm thin, but the performance is known as the industry's smallest encoder. The device helps to shorten the assembly time of industrial automatic equipment and reduce assembly cost. This new type of encoder is designed for servo motors, automatic equipment, processing equipment and wafer processing equipment, etc..

AEAS-7500 rotation every week, can provide up to 65536 absolute position, for the speed of up to 12000rpm servo motor and other high-speed equipment to provide 16MHz serial synchronous data output. The power supply voltage of the device is 5V, and the gray code correction is 1LSB, so as to reduce the error of the code wheel, the device can also generate a serial output to reduce the wiring cost. Compared with the traditional absolute encoder, this new device can reduce the number of required components from about 120 to 3, which can reduce inventory, manufacturing and procurement costs, streamline customer supply chain.

The Agilent AEAS-7500 absolute encoder does not require the search for the highest or lowest effective bits (MSB and LSB), and provides an additional sine / cosine analog output with a standard operating temperature of -25 DEG C to 85 C. The encoder consists of a sensor reading head, a LED, and an encoder wheel, and also provides a plastic (non-metallic) detector fitting, which can be installed on a plurality of types of shell materials by using a plurality of viscose.
