An OLED and CCD bias dedicated DC/DC converter

June 3rd news (Linear Technology), an LT3582, LT3582-5 and LT3582-12 before the publication of the dual channel DC/DC converter can provide many bias application of positive and negative output, suitable for active matrix OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display and CCD (charge coupled devices) application.

LT3582/-5/-12 through I2C interface, can be dynamically set the output voltage, output voltage and power sequencing climb, these parameters can also be set in the manufacturing process, non volatile OTP and through the built-in (one set) the permanent memory. The output voltage is LT3582 25mV step set between 3.2V and 12.775V, while negative output can be set in the 50mV step between -1.2V and -13.95V. LT3582-5 and LT3582-12 can be configured by 5V + + and 12V output, which is useful for many signal processing applications. LT3582 series includes two sets of single crystal converter, respectively, and the negative pressure boost converter. The boost converter has an internal power switch and an output disconnect switch, while the negative voltage converter uses a single inductor architecture and has a built-in power switch. The boost converter using negative pressure control method and novel, and low output voltage ripple, and in a wide load current range to achieve high conversion efficiency. The input voltage range of LT3582/-5/-12 with 2.55V to 5.5V, so it is ideal for lithium battery powered applications, and the efficiency can be as high as 88%. When these features are combined with a quiescent current of less than 325uA, the LT3582 series can achieve a maximum battery life. The combination of minimal external components, non - feedback resistors, and a minimum 3x3mm QFN package makes it possible to provide a minimum for handheld bias applications
