On June 9th, Asahi Chemical subsidiary of Asahi FINECHEM announced the successful development of the conductive polymer dopant (Dopant) polyethylene sulfonate (PVS). The company said it was difficult to achieve the establishment of a high purity polymerization PVS method is the first time". The PVS was used as a poly (ethylene oxide) two thiophene (PEDOT) dopant (PEDOT/PVS) and its conductivity was as high as 126S/cm. Compared with that of polystyrene sulfonic acid (PSS), the method is improved by about 100 times.
In addition, compared with the PEDOT/PSS, the surface smoothness of the PEDOT/PVS coating on the substrate was improved under the same conditions. In addition, due to the absence of the aromatic ring in PSS sulfonic acid absorption, UV transmittance of 300nm 200 to field can be greatly improved.
Asahi FINECHEM ready to develop the use of the conductive polymer PVS, applied in the field of organic solar cell and EL etc.. At present, the Belgian AGFA-Gevaert NV has been produced with PEDOT/PSS as a transparent electrode flexible organic EL panel (see site report 1). In addition, SANYO electric and Yamanashi University PEDOT organic film to achieve high conductivity.
