AS1109 uses serial data input / output lines for error message reading without the use of additional PCB circuit boards for diagnosing LED errors. "The AS1109 has 8 regulated current ports that provide constant current to drive LED over a wide range of forward voltage variations. AS1109 output port can withstand voltage of up to 15V. Through an external resistor, the current can be adjusted in the range of 0.5 to 100mA, which provides great flexibility for LED brightness control. The transmission accuracy between AS1109 channel and IC is as high as 2%, and the intensity difference between LED and LED module has basically disappeared, which can further improve the quality of LED display screen. Another feature of AS1109 is the built-in LED error detection function. This feature is simple and intuitive, and can be operated even when the driver is working, without switching to an independent detection mode. This makes the software interface easier to use, the detection is also very fast. AS1109 can detect any open circuit, short circuit and overheating. In order to quickly and accurately detect these errors, you can use the serial data output. In addition, the specific location of the LED damage can be read from the detailed error report. In order to prevent the occurrence of LED display flashes during error detection, Austria microelectronics has also launched a unique low current diagnostic mode. In this mode, the display will use only 0.6mA of the test current in a short time. AS1109 applies to -40 C to +85 DEG C temperature between the working environment, is the ideal choice for industrial and outdoor applications.
