Avant-garde light of the American gold halide lamp factory announces a rise in price

Another big lighting brand has announced a rise in prices. Venture, a major supplier of HID and electronic ballasts, has said that it has raised the price of traditional technology by 8%, while the new LED light source is not rising for the time being.

The president Dan Phalen and vice president of sales Mark D 'Antonio issued a joint letter, pointing out that the company's price rise was due to the "cumulative effects of material and spare parts, transportation, packaging, wages and other costs, including health care".

"As our industry continues to experience rapid technological advances and changes, we have seen a weakening demand for traditional technology (HID) lighting products, which has caused further cost pressure on traditional technology."

"Although we continue to actively improve productivity and reduce costs, we can't offset these costs, so we declare that our traditional HID lights and ballast products are generally rising."

In July 16th, the prices of these products will rise by an average of 8%. The previously quoted items will be cashed in accordance with the original terms and conditions.

Venture has been hit by the great impact of the LED revolution over the past ten years. The company's success is based on metal halide lamps or HID lamps, which are very popular in retail, commercial and industrial applications. However, as LED lamps are able to provide a higher flow of encapsulation, they have quickly lost market share.

Earlier, in May 11th, Acuity Brands announced a 6% increase in price and 6% in May 17th Eaton. To be sure, as the prices of lighting equipment have fallen over the years, other brands will follow up in the next few weeks in order to improve their profitability. (Editor: LED network James)
