Digital Lumens was founded in 2008, focused on providing industrial networking solutions, headquartered in Massachusetts, Boston, the existing staff of 65 people, last year sales amounted to tens of millions of dollars.

The application of Digital Lumens software platform can be customized through various fields of integrated sensor operation, including environmental indicators of intelligent lighting control and energy use, security systems and air quality measurements. This is a cloud based software platform can be compatible with other components and hardware manufacturers. Digital Lumens has built a huge industrial networking solutions for customers, has more than 2500 installations.

OSRAM chief technology officer Stefan Kampmann said, "the acquisition of Digital Lumens can make OSRAM more effectively for the equipment management and networking applications for future digital solutions. The software and sensor integrated into the same platform, enterprises can better understand the architectural environment and space utilization. As a deep understanding of the company, OSRAM is the further development of lighting outside the new business model. In addition, the platform also can be compatible with other manufacturers of lighting products."

From the venture capital company acquired Digital Lumens, OSRAM will continue to expand with the help of digital lighting solutions business, and enhance its software, sensor and Internet experience. Customers using Digital Lumens cloud based networking solutions, only need to pay a monthly fee to access the service, recording and analysis of the continuous lighting management system data, so as to optimize the business process, process record key environmental variables.
