CMO: LCD TV panel output in the first quarter over one million

According to the CMO executives said shipments of LCD TV panel in the first quarter reached 1400000 and the number of these panels provide support for HDTV.

Currently the largest shipments of a LCD TV panel for the resolution of 1920x1080 37 Inch product, is expected in the second quarter, CMO will launch 42~47 inches, in line with the HDTV specification LCD TV panel.

From the current situation, Taiwan will complete the transformation of digital TV broadcasting, in 2007 before the North America, Europe, Japan and South Korea and other places will also implement the digital transformation of the TV broadcast at the same time, so in the next period of time, LCD TV panel demand will be greatly increased, especially the big screen LCD TV panel support HDTV particular attention.

Chi Mei said that it has to be ready for the upcoming LCD TV climax, CMO will begin to build a 5 generation line and the 7.5 generation line to increase its production. These production lines will meet the 42 inch to 47 inch LCD TV panel production needs.
