Calgary intends to change 80 thousand LED bulbs

Calgary Canada municipal government said, is for the 5 community lamps to replace the new energy-saving light bulbs, by high pressure sodium lamp old (HPS), to LED lighting, preliminary estimates can save up to 55% power consumption.

City Road Department Director Barry Poon pointed out that this is the first stage of the city government work card replacement of energy-saving lamp, hoping to bring a more environmentally friendly, more durable and more high cost effect for the residents of the facilities.

Barry Poon added, LED technology not only effectively reduce the power consumption of up to 55%, and reduce maintenance costs, also bring the lighting system of higher quality for community residents and street.

The municipal government is the ultimate goal, in the city to install up to 80 thousand LED bulbs.
