Canada card city intends to change 80 thousand LED bulbs

Calgary Canada municipal government said, is for the 5 community lamps to replace the new energy-saving light bulbs, by high pressure sodium lamp old (HPS), to LED lighting, preliminary estimates can save up to 55% power consumption.

Better energy-saving lighting system

Card city government said on Wednesday, Alta Dole (Altadore), Douglas Dale (Douglasdale), Mar Bohle (Marlborough), Tesiduo Park (Tuxedo Park), and Brent Wood (Brentwood) and other 3 communities, installed a total of 2500 new energy-saving bulbs in this summer will be LED.

Municipal Road Department Director Barry Poon pointed out that this is the first phase of the city government to replace energy-saving bulbs, hoping to bring more environmentally friendly, more durable and more cost-effective facilities.

Barry Poon adds that LED technology is not only effective in reducing the power consumption by 55%, as well as reducing maintenance costs, but also for the community residents and the streets to bring higher quality lighting systems.

The ultimate goal of the municipal government is to install up to 80 thousand LED bulbs in the city.
