Canada card city is to change 80 thousand LED bulbs

The government of Calgary, Canada, says it is replacing the new energy saving light bulbs for street lights in 5 communities, changing from the old high voltage sodium bulb (HPS) to the LED bulb, which is preliminarily estimated to save up to 55% of the power consumption.

Better energy saving lighting system better

The card city government said on Wednesday that Altadore, Douglasdale, Mar Bohle (Marlborough), Tuxedo Park (Tuxedo Park), and Brent Wood (Brentwood), and other 3 communities, will install 2500 new energy saving LED bulbs this summer.

Barry Poon, director of the city's Road Department, points out that this is the first phase of the card city government to replace energy-saving light bulbs, and hopes to bring more environmentally friendly, more durable and more expensive facilities for the residents.

Barry Poon added that LED technology not only effectively reduced power consumption by up to 55%, reduced maintenance costs, but also brought higher quality lighting for community residents and streets.

The ultimate goal of the city government is to install as many as 80 thousand LED bulbs in the city.
