It is understood that the majority of Chancheng street lights built in 80s and 90s last century, lamps are mainly high-pressure sodium lamp, the lamp energy consumption is higher, shorter life expectancy, high maintenance costs, poor color rendering, resulting in lower clarity of the landscape. In order to maintain the necessary lighting, the public utilities in Chancheng district have to increase the power of some major street lamps, resulting in excessive power density of many road lighting and wasting a large amount of power supply. In order to promote energy conservation and emission reduction and industrial upgrading, Chancheng district began to implement the LED street lamp renovation of urban roads from November 2008. By November 2009, two projects have been completed and 9372 LED lamps have been installed in some sections of the road.
