China and Germany to build MOCVD Training Center

Recently, Suzhou Institute of nanotechnology and nano bionics research institute and the German AIXTRON SE signed a cooperation agreement to build the MOCVD training center. Yang Hui, director of Suzhou nano attended the signing ceremony, and on behalf of the nano and the German AIXTRON SE chief financial officer Wolfgang Breme contract.

MOCVD is the most critical of the semiconductor lighting industry chain upstream epitaxial growth equipment, technology intensive, high requirements for the operation of the use of personnel. In recent years, the rapid development of China's semiconductor lighting industry, MOCVD equipment orders soared. But because the process of epitaxial growth process is complicated, many parameters, professional training cycle is long, while the domestic and the lack of professional training institutions, leading to the MOCVD extension and maintenance engineers are scarce, has seriously hampered the healthy development of semiconductor lighting industry in china. In view of this, nano and AIXTRON decided to build a training center, the two sides play their respective advantages, high-end industrial training personnel, to provide a stable talent support for the Yangtze River Delta region and the national optoelectronic, photovoltaic industry.

In addition, the two sides will be on the basis of preliminary cooperation, to build MOCVD technology research and development center, with a view to fundamentally improve the overall level of MOCVD technology in the mainland and MOCVD equipment maintenance and manufacturing capacity.

Germany AIXTRON SE company is the world's largest supplier of MOCVD equipment. The AIXTRON will provide training center CRUIS II and AIXG5 HT two models of MOCVD equipment, and equipped with the corresponding process engineers, maintenance engineers and professional training staff.
