Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI), making Losangeles into the world's largest LED street lamp transformation of the city

Recently, former U.S. President Clinton announced the "climate proposal (CCI)" outdoor lighting plan, then, the United States will become the largest city of LED street lamp renovation project in Losangeles.

The government plan in five years, Losangeles City Bureau of the Los Angeles street 140 thousand street lights to replace the existing LED lamps, which not only improves the quality of lighting in Los Angeles and reduce power consumption, but also help the city to save money in the transformation process. This will not only reduce the frequency and cost of maintaining street lights, but also save a lot of labor and raw material costs for the city. The life of the street lamp also means that the street lamp can provide more reliable street and sidewalk lighting for urban residents. In addition, Losangeles is committed to the use of LED lamps, artificial lighting at night to ease the sky glow.

It is understood that once the project completed, the Los Angeles street lighting for the lowest power consumption will save 40% per year to reduce carbon dioxide emissions of about 40500 tons, which is equivalent to a year on the road by 6700 car. In the next 7 years, the city will save a total of $48 million, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 197000 tons. After the repayment of loans, due to the implementation of lighting renovation project, Losangeles will be able to continue to save $10 million per year. In addition, the loan will not adversely affect the city, as the repayment of loans will be fully covered by the current energy and maintenance costs savings.
