National Semiconductor Corporation Ns (National Semiconductor Corporation, NS) and Nuventix, Inc. announced the launch of a drive circuit with thermal management module of the new LED reference design. The product can simplify the development process of high brightness LED bulbs, but also more convenient for users to replace the incandescent lamp and the small neon lamp installed in the standard socket for the LED lamp.
LED to replace the traditional light bulb lamp is composed of four different components, including LED, a drive circuit board, thermal management system and optical device of the four kinds of complex components integrated into a LED lighting system with high efficiency and high performance to overcome many challenges.
This new reference design consists of the national semiconductor driver circuit board and Nuventix's SynJet thermal module. This configuration can provide the necessary driving current and thermal management function for the high-performance LED lighting system, is the ideal design alternatives to traditional light bulbs.
Nuventix's SynJet thermal management module uses a synthetic jet cooling technology, its built-in electromagnetic starter can produce a series of turbulent jet flow, thereby reducing the temperature of LED. This method is not only reliable and efficient. SynJet module conforms to MR16, PAR38 and other standard lamp installation specifications.
National semiconductor driver circuit board with built-in LM3429 boost LED driver and LM2842 regulator. LM3429 chip can not only use 9V to 36V input voltage for the LED to provide a constant drive current, the maximum can drive 12 series LED, but also supports analog dimming function. LM2842 chip mainly for SynJet electromagnetic starter power supply. The drive circuit board specifications meet the requirements of MR16 SynJet and PAR38 modules of Nuventix.
