Zhou Mingjun made a business report at the shareholders' meeting that the supply and demand of nitrogen LED in the world slightly improved after the second half of 2016. But by the fourth quarter of 2017, the capacity expansion of the interbank industry has gradually opened, and the competition has intensified.

Zhou Mingjun said that even though the business environment is getting worse, all the colleagues in the company will not give up the goal of turning profits into profits and invest in reducing the operating cost and optimizing the product mix. Therefore, the revenue of crystalline electricity in 2017 is 6.35% lower than that in 2016, but its net profit reached 1 billion 608 million yuan last year (NT $, the same below), and the net profit after tax was 1 billion 650 million yuan. Profit is greatly improved.

Looking forward to 2018, Zhou Mingjun pointed out that there are still potential development opportunities in the LED market, for example, the demand for LED efficient lamps and filament LED bulbs has grown significantly year by year, and the penetration of LED in lighting and automotive applications has continued to improve. The application of LED plant lighting has gradually been paid attention and infrared (IR) LED in security control and smart phone sensing. Mini LED (sub millimeter light emitting diode) is applied to various displays. It is estimated that the shipments of crystalline electric grains will be 562 billion 998 million in 2018.

He said that the promotion of VCSEL's OEM business will have a significant growth in addition to the sales of VCESL Lei chips originally used in data transmission. This year, the VCSEL products used for sensing will also be launched.
