Sun Xiaokang told the editor that people, as part of the transportation system, rarely interact with the entire transportation system in the present environment, and more only the passive recipients of information. But if the interactive system is made into two way, the pedestrian and the traffic system are interacted and the human behavior and the actual road conditions are combined to form the information feedback to the system. Then the system will manage the traffic mode and solve the traffic problem intelligently.

In view of the problems of pedestrians running red light, not clear at night zebra line and indistinct indication of traffic lights in some areas, they put forward a set of modular and functional solutions.

Using solar power, LED display lights are laid on the sidewalk. When pedestrians are on the sidewalk, pedestrians capture the dynamics of pedestrians and monitor road conditions. If there is a speeding vehicle approaching the sidewalk, even the green light, there will be a change in the sidewalk to remind the pedestrians about the potential danger.

Sun Xiaokang gave an example, for example, when a traffic light turned red, if someone broke a red light, the LED light column on the sidewalk would make a dynamic radiation, making him the focus of the area. This is also the use of environmental psychology, allowing people to hide their shortcomings in public, and to better regulate their own behavior.

The advantage of this system is the use of solar power supply, without the use of power supply network or information platform, relatively independent modules can interact with the surrounding environment through the way of physical connection. Because it is a modular product which is easy to lay, it can reduce the cost of construction. And this system can also be applied to other different scenes, such as exhibitions, squares, parks, parking lots, and so on, to realize the interaction between people and the environment.

But Zhou also confessed that the system would be more expensive and more difficult to popularize. He said that the team would make a single breakthrough from the simple products based on the existing technical forces, and through continuous mining and in-depth research in the direction of clean energy and intelligent interaction for the sustainable development of future intelligent cities and intelligent transportation.
