DOE released the latest outdoor area lighting CALiPER Report

The United States Department of energy (DOE) CALiPER program released a new report, this for outdoor area lighting, including lighting, parking lighting and projection lamps, etc..

Outdoor area lighting accounts for the bulk of the country's energy consumption, but also one of the key markets for solid state lighting.

LED outdoor area lighting is a part of the LEDLightingFacts tag database, and has a large proportion in the lighting category. Since August 29, 2016, regional and road lighting products accounted for 15% of the database, the other two product categories accounted for about 4%.

Report focus:

Outdoor LED area lighting products include a variety of output types and light colors, to meet the various needs of lighting.

Under the same light output, LED products can provide higher luminous efficiency compared with 1000W high pressure sodium lamp (about 100 thousand lumens).

In different color temperature (CCT), LED outdoor area lighting products have a wide range of light effects.
