Diodes new LED lighting driver simplifies low power single battery applications

Diodes company launched new ZXLD381 and ZXLD383 LED drive is designed to achieve the low power and high brightness LED with a single solar battery charging or driving the design of the most simple and feasible solution. These pulse width modulation (PFM) DC to DC converters have an on board low saturation voltage switching transistor, requiring only one inductor to achieve high efficiency LED lighting.

The driver can operate at an input voltage as low as 0.9V, and can provide up to 80mA of current, which provides a constant current for a single or multiple LED driver depending on the external inductance value. The drive efficiency is as high as 93%, helping to extend the battery life of various lighting applications.

ZXLD383 on the basis of all functions of the ZXLD 381, but also supports the dual function enable input, for the garden lamp battery charging provides suppression control and ultra low voltage isolation diode. This eliminates the need for external isolation photodiode arrays, making ZXLD 383 the best choice for solar garden lights and walkways.
