Product Maintenance

Do you have to go to the grandchildren? This lighting project takes too long...

Although contractors around the world are trying to upgrade lighting to LED before the deadline of the project, to avoid being fined, one local government has taken a very "loose" attitude.

It is reported that the parliament of the saropu County in central England is required to complete the upgrade in 2054.

Three years ago, cropu county began to replace more than 18000 street lamps, mainly high pressure sodium lamps, but the slow installation speed meant that the grandchildren of the MPs would see the last LED street lamp installation.

George Candler, the parliamentary director of local and enterprise, told local newspapers that so far only 3169 LED lights have been installed. "The parliament arranges to replace 450 to 500 street lamps each year, but it needs financial support, which means that it takes at least 36 years to complete the replacement of LED."

The reason for this problem is the problem of capital. He told the media that in the past four years, the city council has been steadily increasing the cost of installing, running and maintaining street lighting.

In the 2015/16 fiscal year, the parliament spent 1 million 640 thousand pounds (about 14 million 750 thousand RMB), increased to 1 million 670 thousand in 2016/17, 1 million 890 thousand in 2017/18, and 1 million 990 thousand in the new fiscal year.

Unfortunately, srop County said that when the work was finished, it would not save any cost in the street lighting budget, because any efficiency advantage would be offset by the cost required to install more street lights and the expected rising electricity price in the period.
