Dubai starts the "160 thousand lights" facelift program, replacing traditional lamps with LED bulbs

Dubai electric power company and the government of residential units facilitated lamp replacement program. The project mainly replaces traditional lamps with LED bulbs. In cooperation with the local energy company Etihad, Dubai electric power company expects 500 building Al Barsha, Al Warqa and Oud Metha and other regions will replace the traditional light bulb replacement for 160 thousand LED bulb. The main facelift program in hopes of reducing energy consumption, and enhance the understanding of people to use LED bulbs. Dubai electric power company assigned 6 teams for facelift. At the same time, the plan also allows the Dubai electric power company in renewable energy, reduce the cost and protect the environment for the residents more into the community. The Dubai electric power company aims to provide about 160 thousand LED bulbs and solar panels for 2000 homes. Dubai is expected in 2050 prior to the transition to the lowest carbon footprint of the city. The LED light bulb will reduce energy consumption, while supporting Dubai's 2030 energy plan, reducing carbon emissions by 30% by 2030.
