EU warns on Chinese made LED lights

Recently, the Committee warned the EU rapid alert system for non food production of China 1 LED lights. The reason is that when the product is in use, it may cause the user to get an electric shock. The product does not comply with the EU low voltage directive and related standards EN 62560.

The notified product, the OECD portal category, is 78000000 - appliance products. The product is packed in cardboard boxes.

The case informed the state of Holland. In response, the Holland authorities have taken measures to withdraw the market from the product.
