FAIRCHILD launched the highest integrated ballast for compact fluorescent lamps IC

Fairchild Semiconductor launched specifically for compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) design and development, the market's most integrated ballast IC products FAN7710. By adopting the "system level packaging" scheme, FAN7710 can simplify the design and overcome the problem of space limitation in CFL lighting applications.

FAN7710 in the ultra compact 8-DIP package in the integration of a high-end 625V gate driver circuit, two 550V MOSFET, a frequency control circuit and a shunt regulator, and joined the ZVS active control and light detection function. FAN7711 is also available in two packages of 8-DIP and 8-SOP.

These products are available in lead free packages that meet or exceed the J-STD-020C standard requirements of the IPC/JEDEC and are in compliance with the EU standards that are now in force.
