Fischer Elektronik launches a star shaped fin for LED

Due to the LED energy saving and the potential for high reliability, therefore, high-power (HP) LED and high brightness (HB) LED lighting industry has brought great opportunities.

In view of these HP/HB LED high power density is the main challenge of security and effective heat dissipation to ensure trouble free operation, good light effect and long service life.

The shape or position of the lamp housing is usually asymmetric. Therefore, the fan structure needs to be controlled by the cooling system.

In order to heat the LED, Fischer ELektronik has developed a wide range of aluminum heat sinks, and most of the current design of LED with fan-shaped shell matching.

These fins have different diameters and shapes to meet specific heat dissipation applications.

The LED can be fixed to the heat sink by using heat conduction, double-sided adhesive tape, 2 component heat conductive adhesive or screw. In the case of standard heat sinks, the surface shall be plated with black or natural color.

In addition to the standard heat sink, especially the improved version and customized heat sink is also being developed and produced. (http://www.ledsmagazine.com/products/19051)
