Force horticultural applications, OSRAM acquired agrilution stake in start-ups

The day before (12 days), OSRAM issued a press release, the company acquired a minority stake in agrilution start-ups in Munich through the risk investment department's Fluxunit.

The start-up has developed an intelligent indoor planting box (plantCube) that can be used as a home salad, vegetable and herb garden. Even with no knowledge of horticulture, users can achieve a substantial increase in production with the help of specially optimized LED technology and other innovative technologies. OSRAM Fluxunit director Ulrich Eisele said: "because of its innovative business model, agrilution become the perfect OSRAM and OSRAM, in the lighting and gardening expertise can help improve the agronomic efficiency.

For horticultural applications, OSRAM offers specially developed lighting solutions that stimulate and manage plant growth and are designed for growing plants in greenhouses or indoor spaces. Agrilution's intelligent indoor planting box, plantCube, also uses OSRAM's special LED technology. The intelligent planting box can identify the planted seeds and provide the best growth environment by automatically adjusting the temperature, watering and lighting conditions.
