"Four carriages" drive the development of Guangdong LED industry

According to the Guangdong provincial science and technology department director Huang Ningsheng introduced, since 2010, Guangdong LED industry average annual growth rate of more than 25%. 2013, Guangdong LED industry output value reached 281 billion 103 million yuan, the first three quarters of this year, Guangdong LED industry output value of 254 billion 679 million yuan, an increase of 27.95%, the annual breakthrough is expected to exceed 350 billion yuan. This series of data show that the LED industry in Guangdong has a strong endogenous growth and good market prospects, and plays an increasingly important role in the global LED industry pattern. At present, there are more than 4000 LED enterprises in Guangdong, bringing about 3 million jobs. Among them, LED listed companies 25, accounting for 60% of the total number of listed companies nationwide LED, with a total market capitalization of nearly 100 billion yuan.

In the aspect of the application of innovation, as of the end of September 2014, Guangdong LED patents for 67391, accounted for LED national patents 29.30%, accounting for the same period in Guangdong all 5.88% patents, LED industry technical self-sufficiency rate increased steadily. At present, Guangdong has released 15 batch of outdoor lighting products benchmarking catalogue, 11 batch of interior lighting products benchmarking system, recommended a total of 3145 benchmark system products.

Huang Ning survived revealed that Guangdong plans to complete more than 130 local standards in 5 years, 5 national standards, establish and improve the Guangdong characteristics, services, national development and international influence of the LED industry standard system.

When it comes to the future direction of development, Huang Ningsheng said, the next step, Guangdong will focus on promoting in four areas:

First, to foster the development of visible light communications industry as the starting point, to develop cross-border LED industry, the use of new blue ocean. Two is to continue to standard light components as the starting point, to seize the commanding heights of industrial standards. Three is to cultivate new formats as the starting point, to enhance the industry value chain. Four is a multi body collaborative innovation as the starting point, to create a good ecological industry development.

As in the development of visible light communication industry, Guangdong plans to organize the implementation of the "major visible light communication technology and standard optical components" special science and technology, to promote the construction of visible light communication industry cluster in Dongguan, relying on Shenzhen, Huizhou LED industry base. At the same time, support China visible light communication industry technology innovation strategic alliance to carry out the work, vigorously introduce top technical team at home and abroad, to speed up the break through the key technology of visible light communication industry, build strategic emerging industries new growth pole.
