Gartner:05 semiconductor sales growth will be higher than expected

Gartner analyst Andrew Norwood said at a press conference, the global semiconductor sales will rise 5.9% this year, to $233 billion; 6.5% will rise to $248 billion next year.

Norwood said in an interview, the global computer memory chip sales will shrink by 0.6% this year, to $26 billion 200 million next year, forecast a decrease of 4.8%, to $24 billion 900 million.
