Genesys announced PCIExpressPIPE PHY chip Advent

Genesys announced its PCI days before, Express GigaCourier GL9711 integrated circuit production and officially listed. The product is said to be the first time for the development of the system provided by the 125MHz/16 or 250MHz/8 bit IPE interface to achieve 2.5Gbps access speed.

"The latest version of GigaCourier GL9711 single channel PIPE PHY chip we launched, let FPGA design companies can fully enjoy the advantages of high speed PCI Express standard," Chuangwei U.S. subsidiary of technology marketing associate Jerry Chen said. "GL9711 is the industry's first PCI 0.18 single channel PIPE PHY independent chip using the M standard digital CMOS process, and has access to the United States and Japan's key core logic IP partner support."

This is the first launch of the PCI Express PHY independent chip currently available for customers to sample design, the number of orders for the 25000 price of about $5.

GL9711 and is about to open GL9714 - 4 channel version, fully comply with the PCI Express Basic Specification Revision 1.0A and Intel PCI (PIPE) specifically designed for the Express version of the PHY interface. The GL9714, which will be available in the fourth quarter of 2005, is a transceiver that can be used to design a 8/16/32 channel configuration to meet the requirements of a wide variety of network bandwidth, graphics, storage, and many other high speed applications.
