Guangdong OLED industry alliance established to build OLED industrial base

January 14, 2009, the Ministry of industry and information technology, the Guangdong Provincial People's government to build OLED industrial demonstration base cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held in Foshan District, Shunde. Deputy Minister of industry and information technology and the Guangdong Provincial Committee, vice governor Xiao Zhiheng attended the signing ceremony. OLED (organic light emitting display) as the third generation display device, self luminous, ultra-thin, simple structure, fast response, wide viewing angle, low power consumption and flexible displays and other characteristics, known as the "dream display", is the future of LCD substitute industry recognized, is also the country focus on the layout of the next generation flat panel display technology.

Provincial Commission by letter of the relevant responsible person said that Guangdong is currently in the domestic OLED industry aggregation, developed area, gather a group of industry chain related enterprises, with leading the development of the domestic OLED industry strength. In accordance with the agreement, the Ministry of industry and information technology to support Guangdong to promote the OLED industry application demonstration, to carry out independent innovation, industrial chain construction and strengthen personnel training work, and support the Guangdong relying on a number of leading projects to promote the demonstration and application of OLED products. In the province signed a cooperation agreement to build OLED industrial base, Guangdong OLED industry alliance was formally established.
