IDT high density circuit interface device saves 20% circuit board area

IDT (Integrated Device Technology Inc.) launched a series of high density line interface unit (LIU), including 28- (82P2828BH), 21- (82P2821BH) and channel 16 (82P2816BB), using ultra small package.

The density of these devices is four times that of other single chip LIU, can save the area of the circuit board 20%. These LIU devices can provide flexible line and system interface configurations to meet the needs of a variety of products. It uses the industry standard system interface, can support commercial and custom framework, suitable for circuit and standard TDM interface matching.

Each channel of high density LIU can operate independently in T1, J1 or E1 (75/120) mode. This fully integrated internal impedance circuit can be programmed by software, allowing designers to save external components, using a single material to meet the needs of a variety of markets. The device can also provide two output clocks from any recovered line clock. The integrated clock synthesizer can provide a frequency range of 8kHz to 32.768MHz, and in addition, the device's stack function can also be selected from multiple devices with a single reference clock without any external logic.
