India's new prime minister took office, lit LED lighting business opportunities

The Prime Minister of India on May 16, 2014 election ballot, the newly elected Prime Minister Modi (Narendra Modi), promised for investment in power and railway construction in order to improve the economy of India, and plans to make every family within five years can be used for indoor lighting, which will develop business opportunities for LED and solar energy. In addition, Modi promised before 2019, each household can install at least one bulb.

According to a survey by the world bank, India, the world's second largest population, has an astonishing energy demand and will double its growth in 2020. Currently, there are about 300 million people failed to enjoy the benefits of the power grid, and 27% of the electricity wasted due to technical failures. In 2012, 700 million people live in an environment without electricity for two days, which is also common in India. Plus, India's electricity prices are not cheap. Low income families simply can't afford to pay high costs, and choose cheap and dangerous alternatives such as diesel generators.

Although modi did not make it clear that LED lighting is part of his plan, but it can be clearly seen, the India government has realized that LED is more energy saving than traditional lighting. In addition, Modi also intends to expand the solar energy industry, and promised to India in the next few years to create a vibrant solid state lighting market. (China LED network /jasmine compiler)
