India: Minister of India is expected in 2019 before becoming the world's first 100% countries use LED lights

India electric power, coal, new energy and renewable energy minister Piyush Goyal said on Wednesday, 2019, India could become the first country in the world to use only LED lighting products demand. He said: "India will become the world's first 100% use of LED lighting demand in the country before 2019."

Goyal is in India energy efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and the three state-owned oil marketing company (OMCs)'s remarks at the signing ceremony of the memorandum.

He said: "this will send a strong message to the world that India will fulfill its commitment, India adverse effects on global efforts to tackle climate change is sensitive."

According to Goyal, between EESL and three OMC of the new partnership will become a major factor in India is 100% rely on LED lighting products.

The new partnership allows consumers to 70 rupees (about 7.3 yuan) to buy high-quality 9W LED bulbs, 220 rupees (about 23 yuan) to buy 20W LED lamp, 1200 rupees (about 125 yuan) to buy five star fan.

So far, in the "Ujala" project, India has distributed more than 255 million rupees LED light bulbs, more than 306 thousand branch of LED lamp and 1 million 150 thousand energy-saving fan.

According to the estimation of India electric power department of the project, the annual energy-saving 334 billion kwh, the cumulative cost of 133 billion 460 million rupees to reduce consumers. (compiled: LEDinside James)
