India energy efficiency Bureau launched LED lighting products energy efficiency rating

According to Chinese media reports, the India energy efficiency board (BEE) has launched the energy efficiency rating (hereinafter referred to as energy efficiency labeling), similar to the United States of America's Energy Star (LED).

According to the July launch of BEE at the beginning of the plan, before the end of December 2016, India LED manufacturers can voluntarily adopt the energy label. Since then, the government will be mandatory for manufacturers to label LED products energy efficiency labeling.

Energy efficiency labeling is divided into five levels, from one star to five stars, the best rating of five stars. According to the BEE standard, the light effect will get star rating in the LED 79~90 lm/W LED light bulbs; 90~105 lm/W will get LED 105~120 lm/W Samsung rating; lamp will receive a four-star rating of more than 120lm/W; but the light effect products will be awarded five-star rating. According to this division, the current market in India, a large number of LED products will be classified as two, Samsung energy efficiency rating.

In addition to energy efficiency requirements, BEE also requires to ensure the safety of these lighting products. Manufacturers need to ensure that the product meets all safety standards, such as bio safety.

At present, the India government is vigorously promoting the LED light source replacement project, the implementation of LED lighting products energy efficiency logo is very important.
