Intel said 65 chip manufacturing plan is progressing smoothly

Reuters reported the number one global chip manufacturer Intel technology and production group vice president Steven Grant said on Wednesday that the company plans to use in a new product is an advanced manufacturing technology has achieved good results.

Intel is currently using 90 nanometer technology in the manufacture of chips. The company's production technology in Oregon, Arizona and Ireland is now upgrading to 65 nm, which can improve efficiency and reduce the cost of production of a single product.

"Now all the signs show that we have achieved good results in the 65 nanometer technology," Grant said at a technical conference hosted by Intel."

Intel will be the first to use this technology on a notebook computer launched early next year.

Risto Puhakka VLSI Research, chairman of the market research company said that this year Intel investment in factories and equipment will reach about $5 billion, they may also will become the first to the 65 nanotechnology mass production chip manufacturer.
