International semiconductor equipment and Materials Association: July North American chip equipment orders grew 62%

According to the international semiconductor equipment and Materials Association (SEMI) released report shows that in July 2009, the North American semiconductor equipment manufacturers in order to reach $569 million 700 thousand (by moving average amount of three months), and order delivery ratio of 1.06. This order represents a $351 million 700 thousand increase in the final amount of $62% in June, but, compared with the same period last year, $889 million orders compared to a decrease of $36%. SEMI said that in July, the average order of global semiconductor equipment for three months to $538 million, compared with $440 million 500 thousand in June, an increase of more than 22%, but in 2008, compared with $1 billion 80 million in July, down about 50%.
