Jiangsu's "two steps" timetable finalized all incandescent lamps before 2020

The six departments of Jiangsu Province, including letter, development, technology, finance, housing construction and quality supervision, issued yesterday the opinions on accelerating the development of the LED lighting industry, and formulated the "two steps" timetable. By 2015, the market share of general incandescent lamps dropped to less than 10%, and 60 watts in general. Incandescent lamps were basically eliminated; by 2020, incandescent lamps were completely eliminated in the province, and the market share of LED lighting products was further improved.

LED lighting has the advantages of less power consumption, long life, rich color, and strong controllability. Among them, the LED lamp and bulb lamp are about 70% less energy than incandescent lamps. Jiangsu is one of the fastest growing regions in the LED lighting industry. Its output value accounts for 12% of the country's total. The development of LED lighting meets the requirements of energy conservation and environmental protection, and also promotes the development of new industries.

With LED lighting, our province will take the lead in popularizing the lighting projects in public places invested by public institutions, financial or state-owned capital, and all new lighting projects will adopt LED products. The original non LED products should be completed in stages and by stages before the end of 2016. At the same time, a number of demonstration projects have been implemented in the fields of Commerce, industry, outdoor, medical treatment, agriculture and landscape lighting. All localities should implement government procurement policies for energy efficient products, and government agencies and public institutions take the lead in adopting LED lighting products. In the fixed assets investment projects invested by finance or state-owned capital, LED lighting will be an important part of the project's energy conservation assessment and review.

According to the clear objectives of the "opinions", the output value of LED lighting industry in 2020 is expected to exceed 100 billion, equivalent to quadrupling the existing basis.
