Kenya electric lighting company intends to invest $600 million to transform infrastructure

Recently, Kenya electric lighting company (Kenya Power) 2014/2015 fiscal year plan, it will invest about $600 million, for the transformation of the power infrastructure. Among them, $280 million for the construction of new substations and transmission lines, $150 million to upgrade the existing grid, $50 million for the construction of electric power metering system, $30 million for investment in information technology and other related funds will be put into operation and maintenance etc..
