LED patent war "against Nichia as one falls, another rises," Wang Qi, EBV

The Japanese LED maker Nichia (Nichia) sends the press release said, the German court Dusseldorf appeal in January 20, 2017 made the judgment (case No.: I-2 U 41/12), found in Taiwan area LED maker Polytron Technologies Inc (the "Qi Qi Hong technology") four pieces of white LED products against Nichia Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the "Asian" the YAG (EU) patent No. EP 0936682, Germany No. DE No. 69702929).

In the previous German Dusseldorf Nichia to the local court proceedings against Hong Qi technology patent infringement, the case number is 4A O 236/10. According to Nichia that the case involved Wang Qi technology of white LED products include: "HT-V116TW", "HT-U158TW", "HT-P178TWU-PQPS-DG" and "HT-T169TW" and other four products.

Germany Dusseldorf court was in March 29, 2012 that the decision to support the identification of Hong Qi Nichia, science and technology of the LED products are Nichia patent infringement. In addition, Nichia (Nichia) said that the company in February 22, 2017 in Germany Dusseldorf District Court filed for Elektronik GmbH & Co. Germany dealer EBV KG and EBV Management GmbH (referred to as "EBV") of the patent infringement lawsuit.

According to Nichia claims, the lawsuit in Taiwan area LED manufacturer Limited by Share Ltd manufacturing, Everlight electronics and distribution by EBV in Germany white LED "XI3535-KT577J1-03201-000P" against Nichia YAG (EU patent No. EP 0936682, Germany No. DE No. 69702929). Therefore, Nichia claims Duesseldorf District Court issued a permanent injunction against EBV, the life and destruction of the books, recycling products, and the request for damages.

Nichia repeated will spare no effort to protect its patents and other intellectual property rights, and where appropriate and necessary, in any country to take legal action against the infringer.
