LG is developing the world's largest power 70mW UV-C LED

Seoul, South Korea, February 2017 23 LG ILT has developed the world's largest power UV-C LED, the wavelength of 280 nanometers (nm) of 1 LED light power up to 70 milliwatts (mW). The bactericidal force is 1.5 times higher than the existing 40mW grade LED, and it can sterilize the water and air.

LG uses the self developed vertical LED chip technology to break the optical power limit of the existing UV-C. The power is continuously improved and the generated heat is effectively discharged, thus ensuring high quality reliability.

The length and width are 6 millimeter (mm), and the thickness is 1.35mm, although it is smaller than the nail, but its bactericidal performance is the most in the world.

It also applies to hardened equipment in the manufacturing industry. Because of the strong UV output, it can improve the performance of the curing device.

According to Yole Developpement, a market research agency, the world's UV LED market will increase from $30 billion 100 million billion in 2015 to $70 billion 200 million billion in 2017.
