Light industry in the city of white light LED with a new type of variable light front lamp

The city of light industry in the "AT International 2008" (July 23 ~ 25 days, Makuhari Messe Convention Center) on display at the white LED, about independent control of light distribution of variable angle headlamp (AFS) (Figure 1).

The front side lamp of the new headlight is composed of 2 fixed components and a rotating component. Both stationary and rotating components are equipped with white LED. The fixed component is a projection ceremony, and the rotating component can be rotated by a stepping motor. Each component is equipped with white LED 4 LED chip. The rotating assembly uses a two reflection of light from the white LED light to illuminate the front structure (Figure 2). The total luminous flux of the headlamp is the same as that of the HID lamp, reaching 10 thousand 2000lm. The luminous efficiency of LED is about 100lm/W.

At present, the power consumption of the headlamp is almost the same as that of the HID lamp, which is 35W ~ 40W. City light industry, said the future will further improve the luminous efficiency of LED, and strive to achieve lower power consumption than HID lights.

The new headlamp can be changed according to the straight line, turn, highway, urban and other weather conditions and weather patterns. For example, control, can not only illuminate bend at the front when the vehicle turns on the highway and also optical axis of the rotating assembly slightly upward adjustment, and increase the output power of LED, in order to improve the visibility of the distance. In addition, in city driving, can be rotated around respective steering components, lateral irradiation roadside belt, or irradiation in heavy rain on the left side of the road, in order to improve the visibility of the car and roadside guardrail on line.
