Linear introduces integrated bias and white LED power converter solution LTC3524

Linear Technology Corporation (Linear Technology Corporation) launched integrated bias and white LED power converter solution LTC3524, the device is used in small size (3 inches to 7 inches) thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD). The LTC3524 operates in the 2.5V to 6V input voltage range and is suitable for multi base alkaline / nickel metal hydride batteries and lithium ion battery applications. Each low noise output of the TFT converter is fully adjustable so as to supply power to a plurality of LCD displays. The LTC3524 is capable of generating up to 25mA/6V output for the AVDD channel, as well as up to 2mA/20V and 2mA/-20V to be used to meet the VGH and VGL bias requirements with controlled power / power sequencing.

Since the main boost converter uses a synchronous rectifier topology, the LTC3524 can achieve up to 90% efficiency when used for LCD bias. Dual channel LED driver for 10 white LED (per channel of 5) power supply, while its True Color PWMTM dimming to achieve up to 200:1 dimming ratio. Each LED channel is independent and has LED open circuit protection. The total static current is only 200uA, which can achieve the longest battery life, a solution for 1.5MHz switching frequency x 4mm plus 4mm QFN package allows the device composed of slim, flat.

The use of 4mm x 4mm LTC3524EUF package has a spot supply QFN. To buy 1000 units in bulk, each price of $2.25.
