It is reported that an (Linear Technology), before the publication of LTC3524, which is designed for small in size (3 to 7) thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) panel provides integrated BIAS and white LED power converter solution.
The component can operate at 2.5V to 6V input voltage range, as well as the output voltage range of 3V to 6V, so it is ideal for multiple alkaline / NiMH batteries and single lithium battery applications. LTC3524 can be used for small / medium-sized TFT monitor to produce three adjustable, low noise power rail, TFT converter for each low noise output is fully adjustable, so it can drive a wide range of LCD panel. The LTC3524 can generate up to 25mA of current for the AVDD channel at 6V, as well as the current of up to 2mA at the 20V and VGL bias required by individual VGH and -20V by controlled power / power sequencing. Since the main boost converter uses a synchronous rectifier architecture, the LTC3524 can provide up to 90% efficiency for LCD bias and provide a power efficiency of up to for the LED. Dual channel LED driver can drive 10 white light LED (each channel of 5), and its True Color PWM dimming provides 200:1 dimming ratio. Each of the LED channels are independent and provide dimming and LED open circuit protection, total quiescent current is only 200uA, so the battery life force reached the highest, and the combination of 4mm x 4mm 1.5MHz switching frequency QFN package, more to achieve a minimum, pin low height position.
