Malaysia accelerates development of solar energy and LED lighting industry

The development trend of solar energy is similar to that of LED lighting. MSD Blue Ocean is a solar ring manufacturer in Malaysia. Manager New Yoong Chee said: "everyone pays attention to environmental protection. Many developers want to build environmental protection buildings, and they need to buy various kinds of environmental protection products. However, many people do not focus on environmental protection, but rather want to save money. Like LED lighting, Malaysia's government policy is closely related to the development of solar energy industry. Trina Solar is a photovoltaic module manufacturer in China. Its emerging market, JunrheyCastro, Asia and Middle East Business Manager, thinks Malaysia is a major emerging market, but its importance is far less than that of Japan, China or India. He said: "the Malaysia government tends to strongly support the development of solar energy and green energy, so the authorities will soon modify the policy to bring about a huge change in the market, and will attract more domestic and overseas investors to invest more funds in developing solar energy business." In view of the huge demand for electricity in Malaysia, Trina Solar is also engaged in power generation business. Castro said that because Malaysia's electricity market is in short supply, the company has started building solar power plants and selling electricity to power companies. MSD Blue Ocean and Trina Solar manufacture solar energy products for export in Malaysia. "Although most of our production activities are carried out in China, there are also factories in Malaysia, which mainly serve the US market," Castro said. " A number of Chinese companies have been extensively involved in the LED lighting and solar products market in Malaysia, but at two exhibitions, exhibitors have different opinions on the quality of Chinese products. Of course, Chinese companies or companies selling Chinese products insist that their customers are happy to purchase Chinese products. Chee said: "customers think our parent company is from China. Many customers bought products from German or American companies, but later found that the products were made in China. However, Ooi complained that the biggest problem facing the company is to compete with cheap and poor quality Chinese LED lighting products. He said: "the quality of our products is obviously different from that of Chinese products, and whether this will make consumers prefer it depends on their budget. If the budget is limited, they will choose to move towards energy saving, that is, they will buy Chinese products. If they focus on quality, they will choose products from other suppliers, and may choose the products of our company. As expected, prices are still a major factor in developing Malaysia's solar or LED lighting market. As energy prices rise, and the government encourages energy conservation, the use of renewable energy will become more attractive. This trend will benefit LED lighting and solar energy industry.
