In the future, the two sides will cooperate on light and lighting, and help the Taiwan luminescent dipole (LED) plant enter the United States and global lighting market.

NIST was founded in 1901. It is mainly responsible for establishing and maintaining the national measurement standards of the United States. Its operation and function is equivalent to the national metrology standard laboratory of our country. It is a member organization of the international metrology conference with the center for measurement technology development of the Institute of industrial technology.

Taiwan Institute of industry and research is expected to sign the R & D cooperation letter of cooperation in Washington and NIST on 17 U. S. time to push forward a new milestone in the cooperation of innovative R & D between the two countries. The future two sides will work together on light and lighting, color and vision, light biology and image, and international lighting standards.

Taiwan Institute of industry and research said that the cooperation platform with NIST will help promote the strategic and overall cooperation of the lighting industry of the two sides, accelerate the industrialization of R & D achievements and deepen the industrial benefits, and will help the domestic LED industry to attack the global lighting market.
