Micrel 40V PWM boost regulator drive 10 LED

Micrel company recently launched a new high voltage 40V PWM boost regulator - MIC2297. The chip can be optimized to drive 6 to 10 series of white light emitting diodes (LED), while providing innovative brightness control function, can reduce noise and electromagnetic interference (EMI) to a minimum. This achieves an adjustable output current proportional to the applied analog DC voltage or high speed digital PWM signal.

MIC2297 is a 600KHz PWM boost converter controller for lighting applications in the background of a series type background lighting LED driver optimized. The device provides internal 40V switching function, and is equipped with 1.2A protection switching current, linear adjustment accuracy of less than 1%, turn off current of 1 A. With 2.5V to 10V input voltage range, as well as PWM with DAC brightness control function, the IC device ensures high levels of brightness while cutting out a number of external components.
