Kinzoku (Mitsui), a Japanese Mitsui mining and smelting company, developed a new type of phosphor powder for white LED. The company said it had invented red and green phosphors, which can be combined with blue LED to produce white light, which is not the same as the traditional method of producing white light with a blue LED phosphor. Mitsui mining and smelting company pointed out that the sulfide phosphor oxide phosphor emit light is more pure, and red and green fluorescent powder combination can produce more pure and natural white. The company said that although the sulfide phosphor has its shortcomings, easy to react with water, high temperature, moisture resistance is not good, but Mitsui Kinzoku has been a good solution to these problems.
