More than 1000 street lamps overhaul in Suzhou to completely replace LED light source

Suzhou media "8 points in the city" reported that at 10 o'clock in the evening of May 28th, as the lighting workers slowly raised the lantern lanterns and began to change the installation work, the overhaul of palace lantern street lamps was officially launched this year, involving 1142 sets of 17 roads, such as temporary road, Phoenix Street, Baita Road, east-west city and so on. The total number of street lamps exceeded three years ago, and all work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The lantern street lamp was first installed in 2002. The appearance of the well designed lamps is consistent with the architectural style of the ancient city of Suzhou, and has the functions of landscape and road lighting. However, because of the large size of lamps and lanterns, it should be more than 1 meters above ground and the weight of single sets will reach 150 kilograms. Therefore, ensuring the safe operation of these lanterns has always been an important task of the lighting department. Since 2012, the lighting department has carried out the overhaul of the existing palace lanterns in batches in accordance with the year of use. The lamps and lamp arm connectors are re sprayed and replaced by aging organic panels. The energy saving lamps in the original lamps are replaced by LED light sources, and the ballast of the sodium lamp is converted into an electronic variable power ballast, so as to achieve both beauty and consumption.

In addition, as the street lamps are located in the urban area, and the traffic pressure on the road base is greater during the day, the lighting department continues to implement the "wrong time" work, adjusting the operation time to 10 a.m. to 5 a.m., which will minimize the impact on the public's travel.
