NXP announced the world's first integrated tunable optical power (mains) LED driver IC

NXP semiconductors (NXP Semiconductors, created by PHILPS independent semiconductor company) today announced the launch of the world's first integrated dimmable mains LED driver SSL2101. NXP SSL2101 is a small size of switch mode power supply (SMPS) controller is designed for IC, LED driver design, and provide a dimming capability, to further improve the energy efficiency of lighting LED. It has an additional input that can be used to detect the demagnetization of the inductive element, ensuring that the magnetic material is fully utilized to prevent the current from hard switching. The built-in circuit of the device can be used to reduce the capacitive switching loss, optimize the switching efficiency of the valley bottom, so that the SSL2101 at low power levels can be efficient power conversion. SSL2101 uses the on time mode and frequency mode to control LED brightness. The combination of frequency change control and switch on time control is used to produce the light adjusting curve similar to incandescent lamp. Two.
