National half size 3 x 3 x 0.6mm backlight LED driver

National Semiconductor Corporation Ns (National Semiconductor Corp., referred to as the country's half) launched the industry minimum backlight light emitting diode (LED) driver -- LP3954. The device can control the application of light in handheld devices such as cellular phones, digital cameras, game consoles and MP4 players. The LP3954 integrates two backlight driver, a dual red green blue (RGB) in the on-chip LED controller, a LED flash drive and an analog-to-digital converter (ADC).

LP3954 is a highly integrated backlight LED driver, can drive two separate control for the main display and sub display white LED backlight. For a single large screen, the device can be combined together to drive up to 6 LED.

In addition, the high current camera flash LED driver has a programmable safety timer with two modes of flare and flash. The timing of the flash LED is triggered by an external signal. The internal ADC enables the device to have high resolution ambient light / temperature sensing or built-in multi-mode audio synchronization characteristics, such as the ability to drive color LED from the MP3 audio input. Flexible SPI/I2C compliant interface makes LP3954 control easier to implement.

LP3954 features 36 bump micro SMD leadless package, size of 3 x 3 x 0.6mm. Can be supplied, 1000 procurement, LP3954 advanced lighting management unit price of $2.10 (for reference only).
